Lancashire County Council
Lancashire County Council established in 1889 is the upper-tier local authority for the county of Lancashire.
Over the last few years, flooding caused by extreme rainfall has become a big issue in Lancashire and across the country.
Heavy rain has had a devastating impact where people have had to leave their homes and seen valuables destroyed by flood water.
In the light of this Lancashire County Council created a publicity campaign to raise awareness of the risks and help people to be better prepared for flooding. Morph was commissioned to produce a 2D animation that would form the centerpiece of this campaign.
The challenge for us was to communicate a lot of direct practical advice in a fun and engaging visual style. This involved quite a bit of reworking of the script to get it down to a good length for the animation without losing any of the key messages.
The animation naturally had three key themes, which were, before, during and after a flood, so we also created these as self-contained shorter animations to be used across the Councils social channels. Finally we also supplied the individual illustrated assets that we had designed to be used in other areas of the campaign.
The creativity and attention to detail was exceptional.
Morph produced a short video animation for our flooding awareness campaign. The team understood our brief very well and developed a brilliant script and finished animation to a high quality. The creativity and attention to detail was exceptional. We loved the little bit of Lancashire humour throughout. An easy team to work with and one we would definitely consider working with again.
